Previous techniques for allocating different frequency bands to different cells cannot meet the ever-increasing users’ demands. The requirement of frequency reuse one is inevitable. Thus, how to exploit the advantage of cooperative communication to satisfy the cell structure of reuse one is an important issue. In order to improve total QoS performance LTE-A specifies methods such as transmit power control, switched beam antenna, coordinated multi-point transmission, and small cell transmission, etc. This thesis first introduces these methods and shows the results of our computer simulations. Besides, we combine some of the methods and show how it works and its performance is verified through computer simulations.
