However, when the screen is in standby mode (exists in some technologies such as mobile phones or computers) and no image changing, the AC voltage is needed to input with a certain frequency, which means continuous increasing power consumption. Therefore, how to reducing the power consumption by maintaining the inversion voltage with certain frequency when no AC voltage inputting is the main subject which is being extensively studied. The circuit, which we designed, is called memory in pixel (MIP). Memory in pixel circuit use the pixel TFT in order to maintain static image and compensate the pixel voltage. The main point of MIP: to reduce the AC power consumption of data driver while TFT-LCD is at standby operation. In this essay, two pixel memory circuits are proposed to solve the above problem and hold voltage in a frame time with 10Hz and 1Hz operation by use amorphous thin film transistor. The restriction of pixel size is 198.5um*202.5um. Using the pixel memory can provide stable voltage and would reduce the refresh rate in static mode. It is the great advancement for achieving the goal for the pixel compensative technique with the function of low power consumption. Liu, Po-Tsun 劉柏村 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 61 en_US |
