Methods : Subjects(between 55-75 years old)were 15 patients with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis(mean age 65.93 ± 5.64)and 15 healthy normal people(mean age 64.07 ± 4.76). Both groups were assessed by Basic Balance Master System (NeuroCom International Inc., U.S.A.) including Weight Bearing Squat Test, Modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction on Balance Test, Unilateral Stance Test, Limits of Stability Test, Rhythmic Weight Shift Test, to compare the differences between two groups and to find out the relationship between KOOS and balance assessment. Results : Significant difference were found between older people with knee osteoarthritis and normal groups for Modified Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction on Balance Test and Unilateral Stance Test. However, the differences were not significant for Weight Bearing Squat Test, Limits of Stability Test, Rhythmic Weight Shift Test. There was a significant relationship between standing on the foam with closed eyes balance test and KOOS. Conclusion : In general, older people with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis had poorer one-leg standing balance with more sway and unstability. The training program about older people with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis should take into account the balance training. Li-Lan Fu 傅麗蘭 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 119 zh-TW |
