Summary: | 碩士 === 國立體育大學 === 休閒產業經營學系 === 102 === This research discussed human resources management of international volunteer in mega sport event. Firstly, the auther of this research discussed about international volunteers’ motivation, obstcle, and satisfaction.Then the researcher discussed international volunteer needs and human resources management of volunteer. Through a combination of these two parts, to develop the management model of international volunteer’s application, training, operation, voluntary service activity, and follow-up.
This researcher used literature reviews and in-depth interviews as the research methods.Through interviews with international volunteers,the directors of volunteer in international sport event,and experts of volunteer, develop the management model of international volunteer in sport mega event.
The results of this research: firstly, the major motivations of international sport volunteer were: (1) the attraction of sport event, (2) cross-culture chance, (3) the invitation from host city. The major participating obstcles of international volunteer were: (1) accommodation, (2) traing time, (3) visa, (4) application information, and (5) money of traveling.
The results on managing international volunteer were: (1) all experts who were interveiwed think the international mega sport event needs international volunteer. (2) international volunteer adopted their language ability to service atheletes from different countries, (3) increasing of cross-culture chance to team of volunteers, (4) the need to put international volunteers into right positions,use their ability,make them feel success, (5) the amount of international volunteers depend on how many human resources of international volunteer management have.
Finally, several suggestions about the management model of international volunteer in mega sport event are come up based on the results for reference. The most important thing of it was that the host city of mega sport event should develop its own strategy of international volunteer recruiting. It was based on the unique characters of city. International volunteers helped to service atheletes from different countries, and also increased more cross-culture chance to the city. It could promote host city and attract residents to join together. Then the residents of host city will get the benefit from event and feel life more internationalization.
The suggestions for the follow-up researchs: (1) to interview some international volunteers who had the experience recently; (2) to find ways to measure the benefit of international volunteers for the host city; (3) to investigate the satisfaction of international volunteers.
