Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立暨南國際大學 === 應用化學系 === 102 === Potassium cobalt oxide was employed as the host material which was synthesized through the molten salt technique. Into the lattice of the obtained host material, ion-exchange method was utilized to intercalate the organic compound under the low temperature conditions. In this work, potassium cobalt oxide not only intercalates the organic species but also catalyzes them to form a different entity which is associated with the solvent effect. Cobalt oxide assists in the formation of a dimer through the cycloaddition of monomer in methanol. A particular ratio of methanol in water is necessary for this reaction to occur in order to synthesize the novel hybrid compound that reveals a significant increase in the interlayer spacing of the CoO2 from 6.88 Å to 17.35 Å along the c-axis. The formed novel hybrid compound displayed the reversible hydration dehydration phenomenon in the x ray diffraction pattern.
