Due to the easy production, parallax barrier is a common solution for autostereoscopic displays. So far, most 3D displays are set indoors, but few 3D displays are set outdoors due to the limitation of brightness. However, LED displays with higher brightness are used in many public areas such as shopping malls, exhibitions, stadiums, and downtowns. It is hoped that LED displays will equipped with 3D functionality and spread widely in the future. To achieve this, this thesis is dedicated to develop an autostereoscopic LED display system based on the corresponding parallax barrier and 3D player. To enhance the visual quality, this thesis also proposed two novel crosstalk reduction methods for general stereoscopic displays by using disparity adjustment and region-based crosstalk reduction methods. Experimental results show that our methods can effectively reduce the perceived crosstalk and generate satisfying 3D effect on the established 3D LED system.
