Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 電機工程學系 === 102 === A new three-phase AC-DC buck-boost converter with power factor correction (PFC) is proposed in this thesis. The proposed converter uses fewer switches and diodes to improve the efficiency of circuit. Furthermore, the voltage stresses of the main switches are reduced with input capacitors connected to the neutral point to further reduce the size and cost of the proposed converter. In this thesis, operation principles and steady-state characteristics of the proposed converter are described and discussed for both buck and boost operating modes, respectively. Moreover, design guidelines of the key components used in the circuit are then given to facilitate the circuit implementation. Finally, a prototype circuit of 800W at boost mode and 300W at buck mode is implemented to verify the proposed converter. The experimental results show that the proposed converter achieves the better efficiency 92.9% and near unity power factor as compared with the referenced buck-boost converters.
