Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 交通管理科學系 === 102 === Due to the climate change, energy consumption and crowded city, the public awareness of transport sustainability is rapidly growing. To relieve the energy pressure, the government has begun to establish the concept of green transportation. With such a trend, bicycle is an environmentally friendly transport mode. In order to study bicycle commuting intention of commuter, this study applies the method of The Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) established by Ieck Ajzen. The factors in this theory has “attitude,” “subjective norm” and “perceived behavior control” three factors. And we want to know these factors whether directly influence the bicycle commuting behavior intention. Then, the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) is used in this study to verify the hypothesis. Total of 369 questionnaires issued, 336 valid questionnaires were collected and analyzed, effective retrieved rate of 91%. Statistical methods are including the descriptive unvaried analysis, ANOVA, CFA and SEM. The conclusions are as follows:
1. Attitudes (weight of 0.87, is the dominate factor in this study) and perceived behavioral control (weight of 0.23) has positive influence toward the behavior intention.
2. Subjective norm has no significant influence toward behavior intention.
3. Save money, health and environmental friendly is the positive belief, the negative belief concludes convenience, comfort and safe in attitude. Family and friends will affect commuters in subjective norm. In perceived behavioral control, enough time, commuting distance and weather conditions and bicycle path and related facilities are the important beliefs in bicycle commuting.
