Currently, the commercialized DMF recovery plant adopts the two distillation columns to recover the high-purity DMF. However, the capital cost of two column design is large, so it is not suitable to treat the small amount of DMF wastewater. To address the revenue of DMF recovery technique, a simplistic DMF recovery system is developed to guarantee the high-purity of DMF that even compete the price of the new DMF product. The study develops a combination of a flash drum and a distillation column to carry out the reflux DMF recovery system. The evaluation and analysis of the design include energy consumption, purity and flexibility. Finally, the DMF recovery system can achieve the criterion of wastewater effluent. After its performance meet the request of cooperation company, the dynamic simulation of the process would be performed.
