Company can only get low profit under the global competitive environment; therefore, modern logistics play an important role in shortening entire process time and reducing cost by warehouse, transportation and distribution. Nowadays Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) has already integrated most of information systems inside company. The only concerns are to integrate system data in each individual department. Therefore, Business Process Management (BPM) has been rapidly developed in recent years due to mature theory and application. How to develop integration process among each department system within enterprise has become extremely practical issues.
This study is mainly to explore the SAP / ERP systems material receipting and internal inventory transference operation platform process through the BPM management model to examine process by using techniques such as ECRS, Eliminate, Combine, Rearrange and Simplify. In addition, Failure Mode and Effect Analysis, (FMEA) can analyze system potential failure for process improvement and build inventory receipt and internal inventory transference operation platform to improve flow efficiency. Furthermore, this analysis brings more user-friendly operation interface and stronger system to prevent from defraud mechanism.
The material receipting and internal inventory transference operation and other nine processes have been well improved by integration and application of SAP/ERP under BPM model. Moreover, anti-defraud, system integration and system simplification are also achieved. This study has been widely applied for improving the company's profitability by system integration of SAP/ERP and this sort of improvement is the first one that completed in Taiwan semiconductor industrial company.
