Both of two-dimensional and three-dimensional basic frame models are saved as the IFC file. IFC (Industry Foundation Classes) is one of the important tools for Building Information Modeling(BIM). The purpose of IFC is to save all the information in the life cycle of the considered building, and these information could be transferred and shared between the BIM system software tools by the IFC file. The C# programming language is used herein to build the acquisition program which links the contents of the IFC file and convert the building information to the structural analysis information. Self-generated programs including two-dimensional and three-dimensional frames for the static and dynamic analysis by Matlab programming language are applied herein for the analyzing works. The C# programming language is used herein to build the acquisition program which links the contents of the IFC file and convert the building information to the structural analysis information. Self-generated software packages including two-dimensional and three-dimensional frames for the static and dynamic analysis by Matlab programming language are applied herein for the analyzing works. In addition, the accuracy of the self-generated analyzing software packages are validated with the package ETABS through their output results. Both two-dimensional and three-dimensional frames, the results of the static analysis and dynamic analysis are checked to the output of the package ETABS after the actual operation. It is concluded that the IFC technique can be well applied to the structural analysis in the BIM system applications. By this way, re-establish structural analysis model individually for the purposes of architecture and structure engineering in individual packages as usual can be reduced.
