Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 機械工程系 === 102 === Stainless steel (SUS304) is a widely used material, but its processing method is more complicated than most metals. The hard brittle properties of stainless steel makes the tool wear off rapidly while cutting, resulting in lower surface accuracy, reduces the expectancy of tools, and increases the cost of processing. In this study, the piezoelectric actuator will be combined with traditional tools. The design will facilitate the process by producing intermittent elliptical vibration cutting. Through the control input of the piezoelectric actuator voltage、frequency and phase, it can change the path of elliptical vibration cutting tip and intermittent artifacts which help reduce processing time. The result of the Stainless steel (SUS304) cutting test shows, when the frequency is at 800Hz and phase difference of 90o, elliptical vibration cutting can improve the tool ware and reduce the surface roughness of about 40%.
