Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 獸醫學系暨研究所 === 102 === Hemotropic mycoplassmas (hemooplasmas) are bacteriaa that infecct erythrocyytes,
attaching to the red blood cell. Cats can be nfected by a range of hemoplasmmas:
Mycooplasma haaemofelis Mhf), Candiidatus Mycooplasma haeemominutum (CMhm) and
Canddidatus Myycoplasma turicensis (CMtc). Doogs can be infected by Mycoplaasma
haemmocanis Mhc) and Caandidatus Mycoplasma haematoprravum (CMMhp). A tota of
110 dogs and 98 cats that had blood saamples submitted to eterinary aboratories were
tested by a polyymerase chaain reaction (PCR) assaay which targeted the 16S rRNA gene
or 166S-23S ITS region of haemoplasm species. The resultts showed that two ovine
hemooplasmas, Mycoplasma wenyonii (Mw) and Candidatu Mycoplaasma haemoobos
(CMMbo), were detected oth in the dogs and cats, as weell as Mhc and Mhf were
deteccted respecctively. Mw and CMbbo had beeen first repported in 1934 and 2008,
respeectively. Mw and CMb were nevver detected in dogs or cats, whiile CMbo had a
posittive PCR reesult in a doog in Austraalia. In ordeer to make a definite ddiagnosis off the
hemooplasmas foound in this study effificiently andd precisely,, we establiished a reliiable
PCRR-RFLP assaay to distinnguish them easily. Phhylogenetic analysis of 16S-23S ITS
regioon sequencee showed thhat CMbo hhas at least two clades.. The isolattes in this study
are included in one of the clade. In conclussion, we dentified annd molecullarly
charaacterized heemoplasmass in dogs annd cats in Taaiwan.
