In this case study, the comparison between the Opportunity-based Growth and the Competence-based Growth is as main basis. The case study company is one of the imported equipment companies in the highly competitive industry, who has found hidden opportunities in the environment, developed the core competence, followed or even created the opportunity, then built the successful enterprise. Through the growing process of the reference company T, we are expecting to find more in-depth analysis as a reference of the business growing model. The study found whether good or bad times of industrial environment the growth opportunities are always there, the key point is just find them earlier than competitors, and catch the opportunity with ability. For Opportunity-based growth models, must have better sensitivity to the industrial environment, or even to be able to predict environmental changes, to facilitate their determination. The difference of the failure or success is sometimes only a decision. The Opportunity-based growth is observed changes in the environment, short-term response and takes advantage of a favorable situation. The Competence Building and the Competence Leverage are the capabilities to create a corporate performance and sustained growth, and the Competence Building needs a long-term experience and learning. 謝焸君 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 69 zh-TW
