It is a kind of adaptation to environmental change. In other words, it means human’s psychological perception will affect human’s physical feeling. But human’s psychological perception will lead to different feeling due to different environmental stimulus. In these different feelings, the evaluation for the environment will become more complex(Chen,2007). Sound is the one of stimulate which can influence human’s perception, and it is a medium that trigger people’s physiological and psychological feeling (Tsai, 2002) .So this research select sound and thermal environment for discuss. Through the interaction of soundscape and thermal environment, we can explore whether soundscape will affect human’s thermal perception, and whether thermal environment will affect the evaluation for soundscape. This research utilizes a laboratory as the environment simulation , using air conditioning and stereo to simulate 3 different temperature(20℃、24℃、30℃) and 8 kinds of soundscapes. With different combinations of soundscapes and thermal environment, subjects answer their perception in questionnaire investigation. Main results indicate that thermal environment will not affect human''s preference for soundscapes, but it will affect human''s preference level on “sound of water”, “sound of folk activities”, “sound of wind bell” and the evaluation of soundscapes. The soundscape also will affect human’s thermal perception. Overall, the impact of soundscapes and thermal environment on human comfortable depends on thermal environment. In a comfortable thermal environment, soundscape will affect human’s comfortable. Conversely, in an uncomfortable thermal environment, thermal environment will affect human’s comfortable.
