Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 化學系所 === 102 === The first part of this thesis, the microwave-promoted formation of C-S bond through the coupling of thiols with aryl iodides is reported. A combination of copper salt with 1,10-phenanthroline can serve as an active catalyst for this reaction. A variety of aryl iodides reacted smoothly with thiols to provide the corresponding aryl thioethers in good to excellent yields. It is important to note that the reactions were performed in water, with a short reaction time (30 min). In the second part of this thesis, we report that copper salt can be used as a catalyst for the coupling reaction of thiols with formamides in the presence of TBHP as an oxidant.
