Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 土木工程學系所 === 102 === The purpose of this research is to investigate the out-of-plane flexural bond strength of brick walls with holes. A total of two-hundred and ten specimens were made. The testing variables include different types of bricks, mortar water cement ratio(w/c), effect of grouting, and effect of reinforcing. The following results are observed. 1. Grouting will increase flexural bond strength of brick walls with holes. The maximum increase is approximately 25% for the ten-hole brick specimens. 2. The flexural bond strength of brick walls with self-compacting mortar with w/c of 0.6 is less than that of self-compacting mortar with w/c of 0.5 by 45%, approximately. 3. Reinforcing will increase the flexural bond strength up to 700%~900% . 4. Compressive strength of brick prism is approximately 80% to 100% of that of bricks. Compressive strength of brick significantly affects compressive strength of brick prism. 5. Compressive strength of self-compacting mortar with w/c of 0.5 is greater than that of self-compacting mortar with w/c of 0.6 by approximately 21.5%. Effect of w/c ratio on the compressive strength of brick prisms is not significant. 6. Grouting will reduce the compressive strength of brick prisms. For the ten-hole brick prisms, the reduction could be 34%.
