When visitors were sightseeing, leisure and shopping in urban space, it began to move in the streets, arcades and outdoor transitional space. However, in the environment of exposure, directly or indirectly, it is bound to affect tourists' recreation experience of the space. Therefore, the study to explore on skywalks and underpasses transitional space that around in Taipei and Taichung City district. The results show that the neutral temperatures for Taichung skywalks was 27.38 PET (° C) and the neutral temperatures for Taipei skywalks was 28.02 PET(°C); Thus, there was no difference between diverse regions of comfortable temperatures (neutral temperature) in Taiwan. When the transitional space in a different types, the neutral temperatures of underpass was 23.26 PET (° C), and neutral temperature of skywalks was 28.79 PET (° C), the neutral temperature of underpasses and skywalks, the difference between 5.53 PET (° C), this is transitional space users experiences in the past;Because the underpass users psychological expectations, that transitional space is an indoor spaces and hope the comfortable temperatures lower than the outdoor temperatures. The neutral temperature of unshaded type skywalks was 29.85 PET (° C), and the neutral temperature of shaded type skywalks 27.51 PET (° C), the difference of about 2.34 PET (° C). The results show that users unshaded type skywalks higher tolerance than shaded type skywalks. In the leisure behavior think it is important that skywalks or underpasses for tourism, the neutral temperature was 28.86 PET (° C), conversely, the neutral temperature was 27.26 PET (° C). Thus, when the users have considered that the importance of transitional spaces, it is no longer so important of requires the temperature. The results of this study provide the design of future transitional spaces, and adjusted for the issue of local micro-climate and usage behavior to improve satisfaction with the thermal environment and space utilization. 林子平 2013 學位論文 ; thesis 88 zh-TW
