With the popularization of cartoon competitions, many cartoonists have begun to train themselves in this way. This study is aimed at the digital sharing platform, cartoon competitions and the creative studies of cartoonists and further explores the influence of the involvement of cartoonists in competitions and digital sharing platforms and the status quo of cartoonists in the business environment. This study mainly adopts the research methods of qualitative in-depth interviews and data collection. The author conducts in-depth interviews with the cartoonists who have had consistent productions in the past six years, requiring that these cartoonists are still active in the cartoon industry. Furthermore, this study concludes an analysis of the status quo that is conducive for the cartoon industry in Taiwan and offers a reference to newcomers to the cartoon industry and related studies. The results of this study found that materials, environment and the market are factors that affect the creativity of cartoonists. However, after winning prizes in cartoon competitions, cartoonists have multiple thinking and strengthen their mentality for competition, learning to accept opinions following setbacks. In addition, with the prevailing Doujin sales convention, the future trend is for self-publication and brand establishment. Therefore, this study offers the following suggestions: firstly, there is the trend for cartoons in words and photos to become a new industry and cartoonists could develop in this direction. Most cartoonists could add their own and social perspectives to their creations and shape their own features so as to establish their own reader bases. At the same time, creators are recommended to enhance their exposure in the media via networking. Afterwards, in terms of competition, this study suggests that those creators who want to be professional cartoonists should actively participate in competitions. Finally, regarding the assisting system of this industry, this study suggests that publishers can cooperate with cartoonists to establish a sound assistant system. However, if the assistant database can be shared among cartoonists, creation efficiency will be enhanced. Jue-Fen Liu 劉瑞芬 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 248 zh-TW
