We sampled the patients in a distinct teaching hospital in Pingtung county, Taiwan. We planned to understand the patients’ perception of hospital, service, safety and quality, satisfaction and willing for the next visit. Secondly, we tried to verify the factors for each topic above. Thirdly, we wonder if the demographic and the patients’ characters contributed significantly to each topic above. Finally, we tried to find the significant factors contributing to the patients to visit the study hospital again. Materials and Methods This is a cross-sectional research study. We performed the study via a self-designed structured questionnaire to test our hypothesis. We used the variables including demographic variables, characters of patients, facility of hospital, service, safety and quality, satisfaction of patients and the willing of the patients to visit again. We sent and received the questionnaires from March 15 to April 30 in 2014. We performed prescription analysis with percentile, frequency, mean, standard deviation, and inferential statistics with reliability, validity, t test, one way analysis of variance and linear regression. Results We sent 300 questionnaires at outpatient department with 260(86.67%) came back. Excluding 15 invalid questionnaires, there were 245(94.23%) left. We also sent 250 questionnaires for the inpatients with 236(94.40%) came back. Excluding 6 invalid questionnaires, there were 230(95.83%) left. Our results showed that the means of 5 topics above were all above 3.81 for the outpatients and 3.9 for the inpatients. This meant that the patients basically approved the study hospital on these 5 topics. For the outpatients, the significant factors for these 5 topics were sex, age, education, profession and Frequency of hospital visiting。 For the inpatients, significant factors were sex, Frequency of hospital visiting, frequency of hospital visiting in recent half a year, and the expectation of the patients to the hospital. In egression, service quality affected significantly to the satisfaction and willing for the next visit for the outpatients. Hospital facility affected the satisfaction for the both outpatients and inpatients. Safety and quality affected the satisfaction for the inpatients and willing for next visit for both outpatients and inpatients. The patients from the profession of manifestation, business and electronics industry affected the willing for next visit for the outpatients. The patients whose ages were from 46 to 50, who visited the study hospital from 1 to 3 times in the past, and who lived in Pingtung county affected the satisfaction for the inpatients. The patients who took less than 15 minutes from home to the hospital, who graduated from senior high school affected the willing for the next visit for the inpatients. We sincerely hope that the results in our study could help the study hospital to improve the health care quality and the hospital management. Tieh-Chi Chung 鍾蝶起 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 210 zh-TW
