Summary:碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 財務金融學系碩士在職專班 === 102 === The main purpose of this study is to examine the determinants and interrelationships among corporate ownership characteristics using a sample of Taiwans’s listed banks. This study collects five years data set. We use the multiple regression analysis of this paper to examine the effect of shareholder ownership on performance of 21 listed banks in Taiwan. The results show that there is a significant negative relation between the government shareholding and institute shareholding and bank performance. In hypothesis 3, it is found that the family shareholding is a significant positive relation between ROE and employee productivity and a significant negative relation between Non-Performing Loans Ratio in large capital bank. In small capital bank, It show that there is a significant relation between institute shareholding and all of the bank performance. Moreover, Loan-to-Deposit Ratio of large capital bank on ROE is significant positive but it is significant negative relation between small capital bank. The extent to which evidence is presented that more loan come with more profits in large capital bank, but it is reverse in small capital bank.
