碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 應用中國文學系碩士在職專班 === 102 === 　　This study, with the theme of "Study on Aiya''s Prose", aimed to achieve a better understanding of Aiya, a Taiwan women writer, and her prose in a more comprehensive and systematic fashion by focusing on three areas: her creating beliefs, prose content, and artistic expressing features. The author began with examining Aiya''s prose creating beliefs by looking at her life backgrounds during writing, prose creating process; next analyzing the contents of the themes found in her 13 prose collections featured with variety and loftiness; and finally exploring Aiya''s prose features and achievements by reviewing her artistic expressions through prose forms, layout structure, describing skills, and tones, etc. 　　Aiya''s prose works demonstrated a fresh and plain style, hearty concern to ordinary persons and the minority groups, mastery of concise vocabulary and neat expressions without unnecessary words, top fluency and clarity, also a unique balance between literal phrases and plain talks. Her particular attentions to the mother earth reflected in her prose works. Her unmatched travelogue prose works mirrored vividly both the geographic observation and the local people and culture found in the streets and residential lanes. And what is more was her consistency in the light touch of wording. Aiya''s true affection to her parents was voiced in her prose depicting characters and her extended attention to the parent-child relationships easily found in her daily life free essays. Obviously, behind the said works was Aiya''s prose creating beliefs “Living with compassion,facing things with love”. Aiya''s typical writing style featured “calm reasoning, restrained emotions, and highly sensing mind” was evidenced with her exceptional mastery of writing skills and benevolent feelings, especially the choice of commonly interested topics, easy to read sentences and expression – straightening up complicated account with simple, concise and crystal clear storytelling. Thanks to her 8 year experiences of novel writing before starting her prose works, Aiya viewed the world and her prose writing at an angle from her real experiences straightly rather than from absorbing from books she read indirectly. Every word and expression she used was “her true perceptions and conception during struggling in real daily life (as Chang Zang said). Aiya''s prose works led the readers to realize the meaning of life through experiencing the bitter and sweet in daily life, and also functioned as a light tower for the victims suffering from injuries in mind and soul. In fact, this is exactly the major factor that makes Aiya''s prose being admired widely for a long run. 　　Simply put, this study put emphasis on Aiya''s 13 collections of prose works already published as so far and introduced the unique characteristics of her prose. In terms of career journey of creating literal works, to Aiya “Literature is nothing but life”. Second to none, Aiya always expressed not only her whole-hearted and delicate care and concern to the worlds but also her perseverant dedications to literature career.
