Furthermore, digital e-books are adopted as one of the teaching materials in elementary schools. This research aims to find out the differences of learning attitudes in learning Chinese and math in the lower grades of elementary schools by using digital e-books. In this research, the Quasi-Experimental Design, and the pre- and post tests were conducted. The results are as follows: (1) The courses in the lower grades of elementary schools are categorize as symbol representation. Moreover, e-books teaching increases students’ efficiency in Chinese learning. Nevertheless, math learning is the opposite. (2) E-books teaching can motivate students’ willingness to learn both Chinese and math. (3) There is no significant relation between learning achievement and learning attitude. (4) In terms of learning math through the application of e-books, what students like most is interactive practice and frontispiece animation. Nonetheless, the most beneficial is the interactive practice and solving process. (5) As for Chinese teaching, animation with sounds and images can attract students more. What’s more, students like to read the digital e-books combined with frontispiece animation and contents in the textbook in teaching math. (6) When doing math exercising, students are capable of answering questions with the aid of animation. The suggestions are as follows: (1) In class teaching, it is good for teachers to utilize digital teaching aids. (2) Teachers ought to familiarize how to use digital teaching aids and collect sufficient teaching materials. (3) Teachers should use the digital teaching aids discreetly. (4) To enhance teaching and learning efficiency, the government should develop more digital teaching materials and enrich e-books. (5) In addition, the government should provide more teaching and education training and establish relevant teaching databases. (6) In the future studies, the researchers can concern different multimedia, grades and subjects to investigate what is the most suitable in the teaching of symbol, image, and action representation.
