Summary: | 碩士 === 嶺東科技大學 === 高階主管企管碩士在職專班 === 102 === The upgrade and transformation of local industry clusters under the background of global value chains has been a hot topic in domestic economic research in recent years. The Taiwanese bicycle industry is used as a case study in this study to examine the necessity and feasibility of Taiwanese labor-intensive traditional industry clusters to implement strategic transformation under the impact of flucutations caused by globalization. The fundamental way in which traditional enterprises transform and upgrade is by advocating active nurturing of world-leading multinational innovative enterprises. This study concludes that in fluctuating globalization processes and the competitiveness of the open market, the success or failure of the transformation of bicycle industry clusters depends to a large extent on technological innovation capability and transformation strategies of the cluster’s leading local enterprises, and that the two forces of localization and globalization both have a significant impact on this transformation process albeit from different angles.
