This research aims at understanding the relationship between employee work value and job satisfaction for local legislative offices. The research is done on the employees of legislative offices in Taitung.
This research incorporates literature review and the work value and job satisfaction relationship for local legislative office employees. Personal characteristics are categorized as: sex, age, marital status, education, position, average annual income, service period, and service office. Work value factors include: challenges, interpersonal relationship, benefits security, promotion sacrifice, and quality of life. Job satisfaction include: promotion regulations, communication and care, benefit system, work terms, and work environment. A literature review is done before questionnaires were designed. Results from questionnaires were analyzed and the relationship between work value and job satisfaction for local legislative office employees with different backgrounds were reported.
The research shows:
I. The paramount internal work value for Taitung County legislative offices is “interpersonal relationship” while it is “communication and care” for job satisfaction.
II. Legislative office employees with different backgrounds showed partial significance in work value.
III. Legislative office employees with different backgrounds showed partial significance in job satisfaction.
IV. Legislative office employees showed significance in every aspect of work value and job satisfaction.
