The relationships between teachers and students are totally different from those in traditional education too. There’s no doubt that teachers these years have to face more and more job stress involving education issues such as low birth rates, school reduction and mergence, parent intervention in school education, trends of teacher grading and policy of non-corporal punishment. Therefore it is important to investigate into teachers’ job stress. It is also interesting to explore whether there is a relationship between teachers ‘subject feelings to job stress between leadership styles of person in charge in school settings and personality traits of teachers. The main purpose of this study aims to survey the relationships between personality traits, servant-leadership and job stress based on the case of the public elementary school teachers in Hualien County, and then specific suggestions for teachers’ job stress reduction and teaching effectiveness improvement would be made based on the study results. Through literature analysis, a relational questionnaire of personality traits, servant-leadership and job stress was developed to collect empirical research data with the method of stratified random sampling. In this study, 220 questionnaires were issued, 205 of which were collected, among which 205 samples were valid, and the valid ratio was 93.18%. The data collected were analyzed by AMOS. The conclusions of the study are as follows: 1. There is a negative correlation between personality traits and job stress. 2. There is a significantly negative correlation between servant-leadership and job stress. Finally, the study proposes several suggestions for administration authorities, elementary School teachers and future researchers. 李義昭 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 132 zh-TW
