Structure, morphology and luminescence spectra were investigated by using X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopy measurements. YAG:Ce3+ phosphors can be formed at the sintering temperature of 600, 800, 1000 and 1200°C for 4 hrs, respectively. The phases transformed from YAP, YAM into YAG with increasing temperature. The average particle size is about 100 nm and the morphology can be described as spherical. The YAG:Ce3+ samples show a broad emission band located in the range from 500 nm to 800 nm.
