However, while a plant reaps the benefits from TPM, the reactions and feelings of its on-site staff cannot be overlooked.The task nature and mode of the on-site department at Taiwan Fertilizer’s Kaohsiung plant has changed since their implementation of TPM activities. Whether such changes will result in any difference in organization climate or job satisfaction is unknown. This research aims to find out through survey the impact of TPM implementations on the working atmosphere and job satisfaction as a whole, and on individual employee reactions. The result of this study will be used in the planning and implementation of TPM at Taiwan Fertilizer plant in Taichung. This study based the on-site staff at Taiwan Fertilizer Kaohsiung plant as research subject, and used the questionnaire survey as the tool. The results showed successful implementation of TPM activities enhanced management leaders to appear more convincing to the employees, promoted accountability and higher standards in the employees, as well as promoted better interpersonal relationships, boosted employees identifying with the organization and job satisfaction.
