Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 工業工程與管理系碩士在職專班 === 102 === Project management model has been implemented in various industries e.g. telecommunications, technology, information, software, construction, manufacturing, services and even the government ... etc., for many years and so far it has continuously been reformed. Project management has been applied in order to improve the operational efficiency and decrease the costs, so that resources can be more effectively deployed and utilized. Without applying project management in operation, it is necessary to increase the manpower or equipment in order to shorten the completion time. In addition to extending the direct costs, it will even cause impacting the indirect costs (e.g. expending the indirect costs by the duration factor.) As a result of project management model has be applied, we can dismantle all the project's operational activities and analyze the major impact of the project activities in order to control the completion time, and to reduce operating time and also that we can reduce operating costs indirectly. This study presents the method of case study. It is applied in installation Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) hotspots (Hot Spot) in Retail Business by using of the U.S. Project Management Association (Project Management Institute, referred to as PMI) for the nine knowledge systems project management of (Project Management Body of Knowledge, referred to as the PMBOK) and integration of the five process groups. It explores how to use the process to help project managers to perform workflow, and how to use limited resources and adjustment of procedures to shorten by one third of the schedule (total 9 days) from the original duration of 31 days. Further, we can achieve the target ahead of schedule efficiently. Resulting in the investigation of such case, we expect to figure out the appropriate "standard management process frame” applied to the management network engineering of Taiwan Communications. Furthermore, we expect this study can be used as a reference of Wi-Fi erection engineering or telecommunications engineering construction of internal telecommunications on the basis of international project management standard operating procedure.
