Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 觀光與餐旅管理研究所 === 102 === The main purpose of this study is to investigate the participating motivations, culture shock and whether the experience of working holiday will affect the transformative learning process. A snowball sampling method is used and in-depth interviews with 7 candidates who had participated in working holiday in Australia are performed. The findings show that the participating motivation is not merely a single factor. It includes several factors such as experiences about foreign countries like Australia, learning English, and so on. The cultural shock mostly focuses on adaptations in general conditions such as language skills, physical strength, life philosophy, and global perspectives. Not everyone will experience the transformative learning process. Someone will not experience the transformative learning process until they encounter something specially touching their mind in the future.
