Firefighters who carry the responsibilities of rescuing assignments face these strict and dangerous conditions. Meanwhile, their executing abilities will also be tremendously threatened. The performance of perennial training is necessary to be investigated if the fire department enables to conduct efficient perennial training. According to this purpose, we propose this research. This research is based on the theory of the training performance evaluation. Apply this model「Input, Process, Output」which we simplified in “IPO”. Conduct the quantity research about the performance of firefighter perennial training in Kaohsiung City. We issued 600 questionnaires in total. Collect 550 samples and gather 476 valid ones. Adopt the software “SPSS” to process the statistical analysis. According to the analyzed conclusion, we find “training content”, “involving”, “ training procedure” and “training performance” these 4 aspects of training possess utility and emphasis. However, the testing participants still thought the anticipation of training performance far different from actual execution. These items as below should be added to emphasize: 1. Training content: “fire profession”, “technique training”, “regulation of fire prevention and rescue”, “structure safety evaluation of collapsed buildings”. 2. Involving: “build inspiring measures”, “the quality of instructors”, “training equipments and facilities”. 3. Training procedures: “vestibule train of various professional area”, “sorts of different techniques”, “timely rectification train”. 4. Training performance: “avoid training during day off”, “enhance the abilities of disaster rescue and emergency medical treatment”. 5. Other notifications: (1) enhance spirit educations about the sense of responsibilities and the importance of working performance between individuals and organization for basic supervisors, junior administration staff, and normal firefighters. (2) The staff of emergency and rescue command center should improve the abilities to distinguish the disaster situation and communication skills. (3) The staff of firefighting equipment inspection team should enhance inspecting abilities and get certificated. With the conclusion of investigation, statistic and analysis, we wish to obtain the core of the problem. Design and provide feasible improving proposals for the reference of firefighter perennial training, and then promote firefighters’ performance of disaster rescuing.
