The traditional mobile multimedia architecture will takes up more bandwidth and produces network service delay or interruption. Besides, failure node in the network equipment or network congestion also causes poor network quality. The new mobile multimedia service based the concept of service migration is able to estimate the network bandwidth by considering the handover migration, system load and other factors. Therefore, the system enables the server of the mobile multimedia service to adjust itself to the optimum condition automatically, which can solve some problem such as response delay, circuitous path and bandwidth waste, caused by the long distance network node. As mentioned above, the correct bandwidth estimation plays a key role in realization of the service migration technique. This paper established a mechanism to estimate the available bandwidth between the mobile device and the server host Path flooding method and actually probe the packets for network throughput test. In this work, we chose the Android smartphone as the mobile device because Android smartphone have highest market share of smartphone operating system. Using the bandwidth estimation method based on service migration technique in Android smartphone multimedia services, we can easily estimate available bandwidth for the detection of various multimedia server packets without know network nodes and network equipment. Hence, we can choose the best bandwidth path among these multimedia services, which allows users to be smoother when watching video. The concept of service migration applied in Internet multimedia services can ensure that mobile devices can continue without interruption and make them more flexibility in moving the process.
