Moreover,the labor market supply also showed an aging population and low birth rate trend. These results in shortage of talent in tradtional industries. Therefore, the skills and knowledge of traditional industries need to inheritance by mentoring. This study verified the relationship between the mentoring function, mentor‘s personal traits (altruism, emotional intelligence), protégé’s personal traits (proactive behavior, loyalty to supervisors),organizational situational factors (formal mentoring program, job opportunities for interaction, information sharing norms),mentoring satisfaction and protégé adaptive performance. Questionnaire survey was used with pair sampling.The subject is the mentors and proteges in traditional industries. The results showed that:First,the protégé mentoring functions mentoring mediated the relationship between altruism and mentoring satisfaction.Second, the master mentoring functions mediated the relationship between loyalty to supervisors and mentoring satisfaction.Third, the master mentoring function mediated the relationship between proactive behavior and adaptive performance .Finally,there are signgificant moderating effects of organizational situation on the relationship between proactive behavior and the master mentoring function.
