| Summary: | 碩士 === 開南大學 === 觀光運輸學院碩士在職專班 === 102 === According to the statistics data of the National Immigration Agency, total passengers in 2013 reached to 38.03 millions, the amount increased by 30.8 millions passengers with 8.8% growth, compared with that in 2012, which is 34.95 millions. Every country are now developing the E-Gate system, in order to level up the efficiency of the clearance, and to loosen the pressure of the large amount of passengers flow. With the comparison of the personal biological characteristicas, it can strengthen the border security. Shuitou port in Kinmen, started its E-Gate trial servaice in March 29th, 2011, and go officially in 2012. It is necessary to study on the satisfaction and importance of the E-Gate, in order to improve the system.
This research is based on several outcomes of the prior E-Gate studies. With the result of the IPA study, the structure of the questionnaire is mostly on the most important while not satisfying items, such as the "Airport Instruction", "E-Gate route planning", "coordination of the registration", "E-Gate's efficiency in reading passengers' personal characteristics", "the fast efficiency of the registration officer", and "No instant service available while rush hours",etc. This study interviewed senior and junior officers to gain any feedback and suggestions. The feedback and suggestions above are about to provide to the authorities in order to be a reference in improving the service.
