Description
Summary:碩士 === 開南大學 === 資訊及電子商務學系 === 102 === The thesis examined two effects arising from the increasing popularity of smartphones and tablet PCs. The thesis comprises two research topics. Using logistics regression, the first research topic explored the influence of conspicuous consumption, cultural capital and social capital on purchase and use of smartphones and tablet PCs. The second research topic used the partial least square method to find out whether temporal dissociation is a moderator of satisfaction-continuance intention relationship in the context of using smartphones. Data analysis of the first research topic showed that when armed with the latest information on the trends of smartphone, individuals are more likely to use smartphone. Such a phenomenon is also present in tablet PCs. The higher the social status, the more likely one will purchase the latest smartphone models. This outcome showed that the latest smartphone model is a form of status symbol. Individuals with higher fashion trend sensitivity are more likely to use the latest tablet PC models. Data analysis of the second research topic revealed that perceived playfulness positively influences continuance intention and satisfaction, and satisfaction positively influences continuance intention. The study further showed that temporal dissociation is a moderator of satisfaction-continuance intention relationship.
