Summary: | 碩士 === 義守大學 === 生物技術與化學工程研究所 === 102 === Lignin is an important component of the plant, about 30%. It is a polymer with phenol-like structure. In this study, cinnamic acid was used as a model compound and gasified in supercritical ethanol to produce fuel gases.
Experiments were conducted with a small batch-type autoclave. The major operating parameters investigated include: the reaction temperature from 400 to 600 °C, the reaction pressure from 50 to 250 bar, and the concentration of cinnamic acid in the feed from 0.25 to 1.0 M. Gaseous products from the reaction were collected and analyzed. The gaseous output consists mainly of H2, CO, CH4 and CO2 as well as small amount of C2H6. It is found that gasification at 50 bar and the feed concentration of 0.25 M, has the highest methane yield. At temperatures below 450 °C, higher feed concentration lowers methane and carbon monoxide production, and increases carbon dioxide output.
