In addition, activity participation as mediator to the relationship between attitudes toward aging and adaption of older people was studied. The subjects in this study were the elders above 60 years old in Taiwan. The panel data was adopted as the extended research to clarify the causal relationship between attitudes toward aging and activity participation. 300 valid questionnaires were returned at the first time, and 199 valid questionnaires were traced after 6 months. The results were as follows: 1.Attitudes toward aging have positive effect both on activity participation and adaption of older people. 2.Leisure participation has positive effect on adaption of older people. 3.Activity participation is not the mediator for the relationship between attitudes toward aging and adaption of older people. 4.There is dual causality between attitudes toward aging and activity participation. 5.Compared with activity participation, attitudes toward aging is more effective in affecting adaption of older people. This study concludes that positive attitudes toward aging and active activity participation are both helpful to better adaption of older people, attitudes toward aging especially. The practical advice and suggestions for further researches are proposed in the end. Shu-fang Kao 高旭繁 2014 學位論文 ; thesis 91 zh-TW
