Before and after the course was implemented, all of the students from these two groups filled out two forms named “The Posttest of Learning Chinese Idioms” and “The Scale of Learning Motivation of Chinese Idioms”. In addition, the qualitative data was taken from the teacher’s records and learning sheets of the classes being researched. My suggestion that I would like to submit with the concluding findings, after investigating the effectiveness in learning Chinese idioms in those two groups would be: the students were grouped according to different teaching methods or their various proficiency; the posttest scores of learning Chinese idioms were not of notable interaction. After the experiment of teaching Chinese idioms, the learning achievements of incorporating mobile application in teaching Chinese idioms were obviously better than the traditional method of lecturing. With different grouping according to their ability, the students’ posttest scores were not clearly diverged. The students were divided according to different teaching methods or different proficiencies, and the motivation of learning Chinese idioms did not show apparent interaction. After the experiment of teaching Chinese idioms, the learning motivation of incorporating mobile application in teaching Chinese idioms was visibly higher than the traditional method of lecturing. The learning motivation of the students with higer ability was higher than the ones with lower ability. The posttest levels of the students with more learning motivation were higher.
