| Summary: | 碩士 === 華梵大學 === 哲學系碩士班 === 102 === The topic of this thesis is on constructing the care ethics of the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law from the care ethics of Nel Noddings, and destructs the limitation of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law in the patriarchal culture from the caring from the male to female members of a family.
First of all, this thesis will discuss the problems about mother-in-law and daughter-in-law will face to in the patriarchal culture. They are defined as the caretaker, and they compete in the three levels of in-between procreation and bearing independence, arrangement of family tasks and caring confrontation, and the position of a family and the emotion of family members.
Next on, the thesis introduces the care ethics of Nel Noddings. The care ethics of Nel Noddings stresses on the importance of relationship. People should learn caring and cared in the relationships of each other. There is priority. They should care themselves before caring the others. The nature caring should be before the ethical caring. The education in school develops the caring ability of students from modeling, dialogue, practice and confirmation, and teaches the importance of home, rises the value of family task, encourages both male female members to provide their caring and get the happiness.
Finally, we try to discuss the difficulty of the relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law based on the care ethics of Nel Noddings from the viewpoint of daughter -in-law and construct the caring relationship. Daughter-in-law should show her caring first and change the caring relationship with mother-in-law. Daughter-in-law learns of being caring and cared from the procedure of modeling, dialogue, practice and confirmation. But only the caring between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law still can not resolves the difficulty of the relationship in a family. In the caring from wife to husband will affect husband's willing to take care of the family, be the supporter of his wife, the caretaker of kids and the coordinator of mother-in-law and daughter-in-law. During the caring of the male member that mother-in-law and daughter-in-law could be free from the confrontation relationship and have chances to attain themselves inside or outside the family.
