Description
Summary:碩士 === 華梵大學 === 工業工程與經營資訊學系碩士班 === 102 === High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) is often used in electrical cable for its good insulation, however, during the extrusion process, the shrinkage caused by the rapid temperature change between processing and cooling down stages often creates all sorts of quality problems. In practice, setting the process parameters is usually based on the expert’s experience and trials and errors. The subject for optimizing multiple quality characteristics for the HDPE cable extrusion process has not been fully explored yet. The research first used Taguchi method on the HDPE cable extrusion process to conduct experiment. Next, expert evaluation and TOPSIS were applied for normalization of the multi-quality characteristic data to derive the best parametric combination. Finally a confirmation experiment was conducted, and the S/N ratio of the result indicates that the best parametric combination works and the cable produced fits well within the customer’s spec.
