| Summary: | 碩士 === 輔仁大學 === 化學系 === 102 === a series of 2-(4-Alkoxybiphenyl-4’yl)-6-methoxy-quinolone(nOPPQOMe, n=3-8) were synthesized. Preparation process was completed in a short two-step process. The two-step overall yields of 55%-85% were obtained. Spectral analyses were in accordance with the expected structures. Nematic phase were observed by polarizing optical microscopy(POM). Their thermotropic behaviours were further confirmed by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC).
