Through focus group discussions and expert validity assessment, generalized 13 dimensions and 65 indicators.
The study used self-made questionnaire as a tool to obtain samples by convenience sampling. Total issued 420 questionnaires, 387 were returned, overall response rate was 92.14%. After deducting the invalid questionnaires, 370 samples were valid, the valid rate was 95.61%. The data was analyzed by t-test, one-way ANOVA in SPSS18.
There were no significant differences perceived moral education assessment indicators of the importance in gender among teachers at elementary and junior high schools in Yilan County. However, there were significant differences in years of service, elementary or junior high schools, homeroom or subject teacher, full-time teachers or part-time educational administrators. The view of the current status about moral education, there were significant differences in elementary or junior high schools, homeroom or subject teacher. Otherwise, there were no significant differences in gender, full-time teachers or part-time educational administrators.
In this study, 65 indicators were divided into four quadrants by Importance-Performance Analysis. There were 21 indicators fall in the first quadrant representing high importance and status of the implementation. There were 10 indicators fall in the fourth quadrant, presenting high importance but needed to get improved.
The results of this study can be used as the relevant units to promote moral education or reference to future researchers, hoping to promote and improve the moral education.
