Do approaching stage in high grade school children have enough of internet media literacy? In the school curriculum,teachers don't teach children how to use Facebook correctly. Can students with their internet media literacy use Facebook correctly? If students' internet media literacy are not enough,will they affect themselves or others by using Facebook?
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between internet media literacy and students’ Facebook use behavior. Fifth and sixth grade elementary school students of Yilan County were the participants. According to research objectives and issues, literature review, research framework of reference data,meeting integrated questionnaire and interview outline. The research uses the questionnaire survey procedure and semi-structured interviews. All the data of the questionnaires were analyzed by SPSS 21.0 for Windows. The statistical methods were descriptive statistics, t test, one-way ANOVA, chi-square test and Scheffe. The results indicated as follows:
1.There were significant differences on the weekend internet using hours in the different gender,grade, parnets’ disciplinary attitude.
2.The avarage score of students’ internet media literacy was 4.31.
3.Students’ internet media literacy from some diverse backgrounds showed differences.
4.75.5% students used Facebook, and 69.7% students used Facebook with cellphone.
5.Students’ Facebook use behavior from some diverse backgrounds showed differences.
6.Internet media literacy had influence on a few Facebook use behaviors.
7.Internet media literacy were found to be negatively correlated with a few Facebook use behaviors and to be positively correlated with privacy setting behavior.
Finally, make recommendations based on the findings and conclusions. Upgrade their internet media literacy,Facebook using behavior for future studies were provided.
