Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 機械與電腦輔助工程學系 === 102 === In this thesis, graphene oxide (GO) and reduced graphene oxide (RGO) are incorporated into polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and epoxy matrices to fabricate four kinds of nanocomposites. Different weight fractions of GO and RGO are added into matrices to make the nanocomposites. Five kinds of weight fractions include 0.5wt%, 1 wt%, 1.5 wt%, 2 wt%, and 3 wt%. In addition to exploring effect of weight fraction of reinforcement, three kinds of dispersants are included in the nanocomposites to enhance the dispersion of reinforcement. The dispersants include poly sodium-p- styrenesulfonate (PSS), polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)/Sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS), and Na Polycarboxylate (NP). Tensile tests for these 16 kinds of nanocomposites are conducted to evaluate their mechanical properties. In order to improve the dispersion of 2-D RGO, sonication of RGO by power of 1500W is conducted for 1, 5, 10, 15, and 20 minutes, while regular sonication by power of 300W is conducted for 1 hour and 3 hours. Sonication dispersed RGO are incorporated with matrix to fabricate composites and their mechanical properties are compared with regular RGO. Tensile test results show that addition of GO and RGO in PVA can improve mechanical properties of PVA. For weight fraction of GO or RGO of 3wt%, GO/PVA or RGO/PVA can increase tensile strength of PVA by 130% or 110%. Tensile strengths of GO(3wt%)/PVA, RGO(3wt%)/PVA, and PVA are respectively 86.48MPa, 80.91MPa, and 37.54MPa. For weight fraction of GO or RGO of 3wt%, GO/epoxy or RGO/epoxy can increase tensile strength of epoxy by 70% or 110%. Tensile strengths of GO(3wt%)/epoxy, RGO(3wt%)/epoxy, and epoxy are respectively 44.24MPa, 52.81MPa, and 25.7MPa. NP dispersant enables RGO to be effectively dispersed in the PVA, and NP(1wt%)/RGO(3wt%)/PVA has highest tensile strength of 95.89MPa. PSS dispersant enables GO to be effectively dispersed in the epoxy, and PSS(1wt%)/GO(3wt%)/epoxy has highest tensile strength of 49.14MPa. With sonication of RGO(0.5wt%)/PVA by 1500W for 20 minutes, their tensile strength is 86.51MPa, which is higher than 68.56MPa for that with regular RGO(0.5wt%)/PVA.
