The temporal-spatial distribution of precipitation affects not only the types and quantities biological communities but the processes and rates of geomorphic evolution. Therefore, it is an important issue to plan a good rain guage network based on the regional characteristics of rainfall and basin. With 10 existed rainfall stations of Central Weather Bureau in Dajia River Basin, this study identified the spatial variability of rainfall records from 2002 to 2012 by the geostatistics Kriging method. A Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis model was then established for finding new rainfall station location with the spatial variability and related disaster information of potential sites. In this study, 144 bridges in Dajia River Basin were analyzed for searching the new stations with higher numbers of regional Kriging variation. Therefore, a leading group of 57 bridges with significant spatial variability is defined by threshold score of 0.75. Finally, the installation priorities of new station on these bridges were concluded by the MCDA model. The result of this study was compared to that of previous study made in 2001.
