Description
Summary:碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 航太與系統工程學系 === 102 === This study employed the computational fluid dynamics software Fluent to simulate the power cycle of a stratified-charge rotary engine. The simulation of spray combustion is achieved by using the discrete phase model, which is used to analyze the distribution of liquid fuel particles in the combustion chamber, in conjunction with partial premixed combustion model. By analyzing the distribution of liquid fuel particles, temperature field (the temperature field OR temperature fields), flame propagation processes and engine performance, it was found that there exists an optimal injection timing for the main injector. In regards to the location of main injector, it was found that better combustion efficiency can be achieved with a shorter distance from TDC center line. In addition, better combustion efficiency can be also achieved when the ignition timing is closer to the TDC.
