In most of the POC devices, samples and reagents need to be added into the disc separately before testing. This could be labor-intensive and time-consuming especially when many tests were integrated on the same device. In order to make the POC device more user-friendly, it is desired to have the reagents stored on the device. In this study, we explore the lyophilization technology for reagent pre-storage on the micro-devices. Experimental results showed that the test results from the devices with lyophilized reagent were similar to the one with liquid reagents.
