Summary: | 碩士 === 逢甲大學 === 公共政策研究所 === 102 === The purpose of the case study aims to explore the effects of mind mapping-based writing instruction on the ninth graders, the difficulties which might be encountered in teaching and the solutions, including the enhancement of the researcher’s ability in professional area. Thirty- four students from the researcher’s own class participated in this program. During the process, the researcher used the methods of observation, document collection and interviews to analysis the data. The results of the research are as follows:
1. The mind mapping method implemented in writing instruction showed significant effects.
(1) The positive effect of the students’ length of writing
(2) The positive effect of the students’ writing beginning
(3) The positive effect of the students’ selection and integration on writing materials
(4) The improvement of writing speed
(5) The positive effect of the students’ writing structure
(6) The positive effect of upgrading the students’ writing grades
2. The implementation of the method of mind mapping helps enhance the teaching ability.
(1) The improvement in the researcher’s professional writing
(2) The improvement of introspection
(3) The renewed teaching concept
(4) The improvement of teaching handling
