Abstract
Teachers played an important role in teaching environment. The level of teacher’s job involvement was the key element for teaching efficiency. As a result, teachers with high level of job integration had more positive attitude to their jobs and were willing to fulfill their profession on teaching. Teachers were the role of knowledge delivery and problem solving. There was no doubt that the well-being of teachers had great effect on teaching quality and classroom management. Consequently, the well-being of teachers should not be ignored. The research was to investigate the current situation of well-being and job involvement of elementary school teachers. By knowing whether different situation caused different level of job involvement and whether different background caused different level of well-being, the research was going to compare the correlation of job involvement and happiness.
The research applied the questionnaire survey. The objects were elementary school teachers in Miaoli County. There were 373 valid questionnaires. The research was conducted by the software SPSS for windows version 12 to investigate the job involvement and well-being. And the results showed that:(1) The variation of teachers’ background had caused great significant difference on the 5 elements of job involvement. (2) The variation of teachers’ background had caused great significant difference on the 4 elements of well-being. (3) There was great significant correlation between job involvement and well-being.
The result of the research provided suggestion for not only people who were doing correlative investigation but also teachers for future reference.
