| Summary: | 碩士 === 大葉大學 === 管理學院碩士在職專班 === 102 === The promotion of the volunteer system facilitates school guidance affairs. To improve the efficacy of volunteers in junior high schools and increase their willingness to continue their service, the source of volunteers’ internal motivation for their continuous participation is explored. Consequently, this study aims to understand the relationship among volunteer's participation motivation, job satisfaction, serious leisure traits, and continuing service willingness.
This study is conducted in questionnaires survey method with the study subjects of junior high school volunteers in Changhua County. 416 questionnaires in total are distributed with 302 questionnaires valid. Descriptive Statistics, T-test for independent samples, one-way ANOVA , Pearson Product-moment Correlation, and Stepwise Multiple Regression Analysis were used for the data analyses.
The followings were our main findings of the study:.
1. Volunteers in junior high schools in Changhua County are mostly aged between 41 and 50, most of whom are housekeepers and graduate from senior high school or vocational high school. Most of them have religious belief, with volunteer work experiences in the past, and used to be parents of students in school but didn’t serve as cadres. Most of their average family monthly income varies from NT$5,000 to NT$50,000. Their service years vary from 1 to 5 and their monthly service hours vary from 1 to 10. The type of service is mainly focused on traffic directing. Their perceived health is focused on feeling well.
2. The motivation for participation of volunteers in junior high schools in Changhua County is mainly focused on helping others.
3. Job satisfaction of volunteers in junior high schools in Changhua is mainly focused on self-growth.
4. The serious leisure traits of volunteers in junior high schools in Changhua is mainly focused on identification.
5. School volunteers, who used to have volunteer service working experience, be parents of students, work as cadres, have more service years and more monthly service hours, have stronger continuing service willingness.
6. The relationship among volunteer's participation motivation, job satisfaction, serious leisure traits, and continuing service willingness in junior high schools in Changhua County shows the distinctly positive connection.
7. The serious leisure traits can significantly predict the continuing service willingness.
At last, the conclusion is under discussion and the related suggestions are offered to the authorities concerned and junior high schools. It also serves as the reference for the follow-up studies.
